Happy Father’s Day Mom and Bros!
It’s Father’s day, which to me, isn’t about celebrating my father, since I never really knew my biological father and the man whom I thought was my father died when I was 17 and didn’t really see him much growing up, and I now know it’s because he wasn’t my real Dad. He was a good man tho and when he was there, he was good to me and my brothers and sister, but there really wasn’t any moments I could think of that bonded us as father and daughter.
The people who were a father figure to me were my Mom and my brothers, I say my Mom because she was always there, she was both Mom and Dad, she worked hard to give us everything we need and wanted, and she was there to give us advice and comfort us when we were sick or sad. My Mom is the best and because of her I never felt empty inside for lack of having a Dad.
I can honestly say that my brother’s were also there as a father figure to me. I grew up with 3 of my 6 brothers. They taught me how to ride a bike, how to fight and defend myself, they comforted me when I was sad and crying. They played sports with me and let me tag along with them with their friends. They were there and they gave me a male influence in my life. You don’t need to have a Dad around in order to have a father figure in your life. I don’t feel like I’ve really missed anything in my life and I’m happy and feel as tho my Mom and brothers gave me everything I needed.
So Happy Father’s Day to all you Mom’s and Brother’s who filled the void of a missing Dad, You are doing a great job!!
Peace Love Moose <3
It’s always good to have older siblings to cover anything that a single parent isn’t able to. It sounds like you have a good childhood even without your father there.

This made me very sad but also happy. Sad because supposedly things did not go the standard way in life for you, but happy to see that that there is not just one proper standard way that works, there are many. Love is what counts, and there can be many people giving you love. Take care, enjoy the Father’s Day.
