Summer Falls…..Autumn Reigns!

Two months. Longest I’ve gone without writing in years. Shameful. Truly. Shameful.

Its been a busy few months, but that is really no excuse….

Flew home to PA for a family wedding. Spent this weekend in Iowa City at the PSU-Iowa game;and left very unhappy…with a PSU loss 🙁

Life has been moving, that is for sure. So much so, that I haven’t been playing video games, I’ve been attending local political functions (a story to follow…) and keeping busy with my class and my lawyering.

So…to the adventures!

First; Labor Day weekend. I spent the weekend in PA for my cousins wedding. B was one of my close cousins (she moved out to MO for a few years to go to Washington University, but last year moved away to California with her now-husband.) Her husband used to play on my little league baseball team. Great guy. An overall good time. However, that wedding really hit home about life and its rapid progession forward. I remember walking up the street to hang out with B. Spending the summers playing in the park with her; swimming on the high school swim team with her…and our group of friends going out on the weekends. Those days are so far gone.

Ashli, by current G/F, came home to PA with me. Its getting serious. I really like her alot…she is so…nice and thoughtful. She notices things, and never seems to get truly upset. Just talks to me about it. Its nice. Very easy to deal with. I’m happy. She met the fam, and everything went well. I took her on a tour of gettysburg, and to Medieval times. I love that place so much; last time I was there was in 2006. She had a good time.

The weekend following that I went to my friend Amy’s wedding in Quincy, IL. She’s a local lawyer in town, and one of people I hang out with regularly. She was also a beautiful bride, and played a Nirvana song at her wedding just for me. I laughed, and loved it.

This past weekend I hung out with my Secretary (R)’s son, who is 30 and lives in Iowa city. He is a hawkeye fan, so we thought it would be fun to go to the PSU-Iowa game. It was an awesome time….we had great seats and the atmosphere reminded me so much of my time at PSU. Great times.

Now, I’m merely sitting at my computer, going over my cases for tommorrow in preparation for another day of work. This thursday I’ll be returning to PA yet again, for one of my high-school friends weddings. Can’t wait for it, as it will reunite my old highschool crew, which should be amazing; I haven’t seem some of them in 10+ years….

September 1st I was officially promoted; i received a 6K a year raise, which is nice. More money for more things! Yay!

More than anything I’m glad to be back and writing….I’ve missed this place.
