Le-Lou, Love!

My force of will has been waning of late, and it seems that this long overdue entry of arrival, invention, and pure friend-filled fun is long overdue. Still, the trite destitution that is a 10am class tends to sap even my considerable willpower from time to time, and as such, it seems i’ve failed miserably at this exact undertaking.

Until now, that is.

Still, i’m writing this semi-sleep deprived, eyelids heavy, brain screaming for more, flesh pleading for solace. Ah well, i win.

My return to St. Louis was heralded with much fanfare; from the flight attendant and her little game of "trivia" on the plane (i may not be from st. louis, but ask me "what pseudo-italian appetizer was first invented in st louis" and ill quip off a "toasted ravoli!" faster than anyone. And with that, a piece of candy, and the sweetness that is st. louis slid down my throat.

I was picked up from the airport by none other than Anna and Sean, who immediately ushered me into a fine-dining experience, and shortly after, cascaded into a most debaucherous event. James joined in, and the 4 of us braved the downtown st louis club scene (sometime around midnight we arrived) and i spent a good 100 bucks or so purely on alcohol. Vodka/cranberry (or as the snobb sean likes to exclaim, "a cape cod"), shots of all sorts, pretty girls and fancy clubs, overall it was  a fun filled night. Anna made a rule that we couldnt leave a club "until E talks to at least one blonde girl." Ah yes, that girl has her moments. James grabbed random asses, Sean was acting whipped in regards to Anna (aka being nice and "polite") and eventually at my behest we wandered the streets, James threatened to pull his pants down, and the club "Pepper" magically appeared in front of us. We entered, had numorous more shots, drinks, and i danced, danced danced. Anna and i had a brief trist on the dancefloor, a relatively hot blonde (lower back tattoo spotted….eeewww!) kept rubbing up against me, winking, and then turned and made out with her (female) friend standing beside her. The pinnacle came shortly after, when a dark haired, dashing little femme, brushed into me, smiled as only alcohol could, pressed her hand into my hair and slurred "ooooooh, i like it…" And proceeded to walk off. My friends looked at me briefly and i shrugged on that one, and we went back to talking.

10 seconds or so later, she stumbles back, clutches my hair from behind, and murmurs "oooh, I REALLY like it."

-at which point i giggled and said thanks, properly flattered.

Shortly after that, James pleaded for a trip "to the east side" i shrugged and said sure (can’t hurt to look at pretty ones) but Sean had a whipped moment and refused to drive their, since Anna didnt want to see naked girls (she entered princess mode, aka "pay attention to me please" which becomes frustrating fast).. "If i wanted to see those, i could just take off my shirt" she muttered. I bit my lip on that one, law school girls and their oversized egos at their best. It ended instead with a trip to an all night, dive bar, which i didnt find particularly interesting, and it took us just long enough to get their for me to begin to feel tired. Ah well, shortly after that menagerie (and a bit more dancing on my part, in an attempt to salvage the latter part of the evening) i was welcomed home to my much missed, much loved, bed.

Sunday was a day of hard-felt hangovers, but then good o’ T decided to call, muttered something about a movie, and i had another rendezvous with my favorite asian femme.  Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on IMAX, and another fun evening was set in motion. I agreed to meet T at her house, and even as i pulled up in le cabriolet, i was greeted with a hearty "hey E" and then a shocking "so this is the gallant man who is here to rescue you"…which caught me a bit off guard. This, little did i know, was my introduction to the infamous J, which exploded into a tale of its own.

I brought some shoo-fly pie for them straight outta PA, and they gobbled it up nicely. We sat around T’s house, chatted a bit, and J interjected with something like "im interrupting you-two’s alone time" and winkly slyly and snuck off with a friend of hers who "needed some consoling." After a brief snuggle on the couch, staring at T’s winter ski adventure in Colorado, we were off to see the dashing Harry Potter and the fiasco known as the Tri-Wizard Tournament.

So there we were, snacking, chatting, waiting for the movie to start, when the devilish J rings T. I giggle, sneak the phone from T (with a little chuckle and a wink) and answer in my most-melodic voice, trying my best to shock Ms. J as much as i can.

E: "Hello?"

J: ………

J: (after the long pause, in a slightly slurred voice) ….is this E?

E: Why yes it is, what exactly are you up too, Ms. J?"

J: (another pause) not much sexy E, thats what everyone should call you Sexy E, because, that is exactly what you are"

E: (caught off guard, for sure!) Ha…thanks…

J: did you guys pick a movie yet?

E: Yeah, we are at the theatre now…you should come

(insert brief convo where i use my E-charm to convince the drunk-gal who is 20 minutes away from the theatre of a movie which starts in 5 min)

-She shows up, we watch the movie, T jumps way more than any girl should during a Harry Potter movie, and the evening ends on a good note.

Well, almost a good note. After dropping T off, and stopping off at the store, i somehow get a flat tire, and have to call Anna to pick me up and take me home. <3 my friends.

Monday was the first day of class. I stumbled in, tired, bored and in no happy place having to take a 10am class. But Tax is an important class, i tell myself, and worth getting up at 10am for. Ask me again in May, we’ll see.

So, monday i have class, Jacinda calls me sometime during the day, asks me for a brief dinner interlude, and i wholeheartly agree. After all, havent seen her for a while, and she offered me Olive Garden. After a brief drive north of I-70 which inevitably resulted in me getting a little lost, we arrived, had a nice dinner, and i recapped the events of the weekend in full dramatic E fashion, which of course coerced a giggle.

"I pity those girls E, all of them. They really have no idea they have no chance."

I laughed a bit at that, truly, i did.

I laughed because, i can feel it, i can feel it in my heart, im starting to crush on a certain asian gal.

-And then today, after a long sorted ordeal of class, and schedule juggling, i came home to an email from a certain asian, hoping for a bit of a rendezvous over the weekend. I felt my heart jump when i read it, i felt the little giggle from within.

Good start. oh yeah, good start.

Oodles o’ love,

Erotique

That’s awesome. Doesn’t it feel good when you actually like someone? Not just pretending, but actually getting the butterflies and heart jumping. Looks like a certain asian girl DOES have a chance with you. I hope it works out.

New year, new girl, new start…crushes are a wonderful thing. They give you that warm n’ fuzzy feeling that I love so much. I’d have to say that particular part of the “game” that we play when it comes ot love is my absolute favorite. The waiting, the anticipating..I think it makes the end result that much sweeter…
