NIN in Concert, Otherwise Known as E Still has it

Tonight was the night. So, i donned the black leather, the silver docs, the black tshirt, and prettied up myself to the point of no return. Then i picked up ryan, and we snuck onto the metro as a fun side adventure on the way to the show.

I cannot begin to describe the splendor that is a NIN concert. But i will say this:

They played terrible lie, sin, and head like a hole from pretty hate machine. This was mixed in with closer, hurt, a warm place, and that wonderfully delightful Reptile from The Downward Spiral. In addition, a taste of Wish from Broken, as well as some of the newer songs.

It was a good mix of songs, especially for the old-school fans, like myself. It was an awesome concert, and Ryan, Dennis, Shelley, Anna and myself had one hell of a time.

I was sitting on the far right of the group, next to me was a couple, whom most people would deem "goth."

Early into the NIN set, the girl sitting beside me leans over, and whispers you are so fucking hot into my ear. A bit of chitchat ensues, have you seen NIN before (yes, when i was 16) how old are you? (27) no way, you don’t look 27. Do you have a girlfriend? (no) Bullshit, that can’t be. and she continues with Wanna make out? (I’m not that easy…) and after a brieft retort, she leaned inward and asks "how big is your dick? (you’ll just have to find out for yourself..). It didn’t stop there, as she rechants If we’re going to make out, we need to hurry before my boyfriend gets back!

Note to self: E, when you start feeling down, go goth. E, when you need to feel pretty; go goth. E, if you ever reallyreallyreally just need a girl go goth.

Because, E, you still have it. And damn, does that make me smile.
