Fantastic news today, I’m sure most of you have heard it. Intelligent Design was smacked down pretty ruthlessly the judge in the Dover, PA case.

Here’s an nice quotation: “And interestingly, the judge in this case, Judge Jones, was an appointee of this President Bush in 2002. So the argument that this was some out-of-control liberal judge is going to be a little harder to make, given the fact that he was appointed by President Bush.”

As a scientist, I cannot believe that intelligent design is actually even considered for a debate. Its pure religious mythology with no scientific basis at all. If we let them put ID into our classrooms, it will not only invite people to laugh at us, but we would rightly deserve it too.
