Looking for advice in my diary. I’d appreciate your input.

Have you ever read Bishop Berkeley’s book, “A Treatise Concerning the Principles of Human Knowledge”? Though I myself am an athiest. If you can give a better arguement for there being no god than he does for there being one… i would be much obliged.

December 15, 2005

This is a rather short and to the point entry from you. Having problems lately? We usually get so much more. You’re still loved. 🙂

December 15, 2005

Short and to the point. I like it. No one makes big long explanations for why other imaginary friends aren’t real, why do it for god?

December 16, 2005

actually, He is and there’s proof. just because you don’t believe in Him doesn’t mean He doesn’t exist.

December 16, 2005

To above noter: Actually, the flying spaghetti monster exists too, and there’s proof as well. If you refuse to believe that, well, just because you don’t believe in His Noodly Appendage doesn’t mean He doesn’t exist. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go worship my spaghetti meatballs.

December 16, 2005

yay for a flying spaghetti monster reference! so where’s this proof?

December 16, 2005

Long over it 🙂

YAH
December 16, 2005

Thanks for stating the obvious. Oh wait, it is not obvious to billions of people. Can we make money off this phenomenon somehow?

December 16, 2005

and yet, it’s hard to prove you are real. pixels come up on my screen claiming to be written by you, but can you prove it?

December 16, 2005

“and yet, it’s hard to prove you are real. pixels come up on my screen claiming to be written by you, but can you prove it? sheadore” I’m not that much interested in proving to you that I exist.

December 17, 2005

*over it*

December 17, 2005

“it’s hard to prove you are real. pixels come up on my screen claiming to be written by you, but can you prove it?” Does eyewitness testimony count?

December 17, 2005

eeehhhhh….excuse me…. isn’t there a difference between “existing” and “being real”?

December 17, 2005

“eeehhhhh….excuse me…. isn’t there a difference between “existing” and “being real”? soulstice” So you grant that I exist, you’re curious about the realness of me?

You think ANY explanation YOU would give could possibly change my mind about the wonders of Almighty God? Save it! Your only purpose is to get others to join you in the misery and foolishness of your unbelief. “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’ “Psalm 53:1

December 18, 2005

“You think ANY explanation YOU would give could possibly change my mind about the wonders of Almighty God?” Your mind? Perhaps not. Answer this series of questions: Do you think God is good? If so, what action could he take that would be so horrible that you’d denounce his goodness? If there’s nothing, then what kind of “good” are you calling God? If there is something, please let me know.

December 18, 2005

“The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God'” (Psalms 53) … The wise proclaim it to the world. — isn’t that how that goes? Just a side note, do you hate me with perfect hatred as Psalms 139:19-22? Or is this just a pick and choose the Psalms you’d like to apply sort of thing?

December 18, 2005

Psalms 139:19-22 Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men. For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain. Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

RYN: I’m very interested in following scripture. You just flat-out lied! You know you are not interested in following Scripture. Stop playing games and please don’t leave notes my diary again. Don’t badger me; I don’t care to debate you. That entry was not for you, it was for people who care to possibly welcome Jesus. You and I have nothing to discuss.

December 18, 2005

“I’m very interested in following scripture. You just flat-out lied! You know you are not interested in following Scripture.” Oy, since I won’t leave another note on your diary, I’ll respond here. I meant in following scripture as in watching a baseball team. I am interested in scripture, and how people define their actions as though they follow it regardless of if they do. (for ex. Christmas).

*sigh*

¡Èso where’s this proof? -sugarpaws. In Jerusalem there is a holy fire. On Eastern Orthodox Easter, it appears in the church out of thin air. And if you touch it, it doesn¡Çt burn you. I know an atheist won¡Çt believe me but the simple answer is to go to Jerusalem and see it for yourself. Everyone is welcome. Maybe not everyone can afford the trip but that¡Çs not the point. The point is that you will

December 20, 2005

see it. this has happened without fail for the last 2000 years.

December 21, 2005

“In Jerusalem there is a holy fire. On Eastern Orthodox Easter, it appears in the church out of thin air. And if you touch it, it doesn’t burn you.” Ok, so let’s just run with it. Let’s say that this happens. What the hell does that show? What does that prove? How does this help us know anything more about ANYTHING?

December 22, 2005

If you have to ask that question, nothing I say will make you believe anything. You’ve made up your mind.

who said i think therefore i am ?? god thought then spoke therefore we exhist

December 28, 2005

“who said i think therefore i am ?? god thought then spoke therefore we exhist” Sweet Jesus…ok, Descartes said that famous quote. The second sentence doesn’t make any sense. At best, it’s descriptive, in which case “then” would be the right word. “Therefore” just doesn’t make sense at all. and it’s “exist”.
