AYB Oracle answers Pilgrim !

{Pilgrim] straightforwardly, and without a decent grovel, asks the following:

Dear [All Your Base Oracle],

I write to you in at a most troubling time in my life. I humbly plead with you to share your wisdom unto me. This moment of crisis has me wrought with confusion and uncertainty that only the [AYBO] can unravel.

Should I paint my living room? I have new furniture and the beige just …ugh.

Most Respectfully,

[Pilgrim]

The AYB Oracle answers!

Dear Pilgrim,

Troubling times are a tad different from the issue mentioned here. Troubling times are say an asstunnel running a middle eastern country enriching nuclear fuel (don’t worry, he’s not building weapons; he PROMISED), or Obama cutting funding to NASA ( BAD president; NO intern! ), or whether a Valentines gift of a trip to Spa Sydell is enough for the AYB Oracle to “get some.” These are weighty issues.

If your living room paint is “ugh” (elegantly put, by the way) then without a doubt it should be un-ugh’ed (TM). Preference in color and shade if given to the eye of the beholder (i.e. the ones who have to live with it) but I suggest a pale version of the carpet (dark blue carpet, light blue walls) or an off-white. Keep in mind not to clash with other rooms. I’m going to boldly suggest (because I am all knowing, I can do that) and also suggest a nice border around the top of the walls. If you’re sure about the new furniture, make the border the same color. Thus — walls match carpet, border matches furniture.

You owe the AYB Oracle a new couch to crash on if the Spa Sydell thing doesn’t go over well.

I don’t know why Pilz doesn’t just paint it with the blood of her enemies, frankly.

That is brilliant [Gaslight]. Friggin’ brilliant! And [AYBO], your ability to both educate and shame me simultaneously is a bit of a turn on.
