Sick, Act ii , Scene i
Still have a persistent cough and low grade fever. Doctor gave me a second round of antibiotics (different type). Apparently, catching something on top of bronchitis is not uncommon. He also gave me Robitussin with codeine for the cough. That helps more obviously than the antibiotic as it lets me sleep without the coughing waking me every 2 hours.
Called in sick to work, using the last of my sick days for the year. Which I don’t mind because A) that’s what they are there for and B) they don’t roll over to next year.
I’m still on call through the weekend though.
Sorry to hear you are still feeling so rotten. :/ I remember years ago when I had bronchitis, sinusitus, and an ear infection. Let me tell you how much THAT kicked ass. It’s so hard to be sick with more than one thing at a time! RYN: I’m just a hippie. I went into this under the impression that we could “make it work” no matter what. Turns out I was horribly wrong. My sadness mostly involves the fact that the dog has already attached herself to us, and it kills me to have to take her back to the shelter where she is going to be put in a cage. :/

RYN: Hahaha, that made my day. It *is* catchy. 😉 How awful that you’re still sick. . .I’ve never had bronchitis (knock on wood) but when I have a cold, I turn to NyQuil for precisely the same reason you’re thankful for that guaifenesin with codeine – it helps me sleep.
