Car Boot.

So we did the car boot sale. We made about £50 – not too bad. It was very quiet because it was pouring with rain. Thank God it was undercover – although it was still freezing cold. It was good to clear out some junk but I don’t know how people can do it every single week!!!! No thanks. I spent about £12 buying food and drinks and a couple of bits and bobs for the kids.  I am absolutely knackered now because we were up at the crack of dawn and also I haven’t eaten much. I feel physically sick – not good. I am waiting for Chris to return from dropping his mum’s table back to her so we can go shopping in Asda and also get some dinner – wish he would hurry up I am starving.

Not much else to say at the moment. My budget is going ok. I have about £40 of the £100 left but am gonna use the money I made today as well. Going halves with Chris so that means I have £65 left. Hopefully it will last although I need a lot of shopping so after my Asda trip that will be depleted. Hey ho who cares!

My brother wants to move back into my parent’s house. They are reluctant but are prob gonna let him cos he is their son at the end of the day. He is just not managing. He only has a part time job (he is trying to get full time but is not having much luck). He pays £190 a month off a credit card but because of interest only £40 comes off the actual debt so its not a good situation. With rent and bills he barely has any money left for food and is borrowing every month. You can’t go on like that for long. He wants to move to my parents for 6 months so he can pay a lot of the credit card debt off and get out of the major interest situation. I can understand that. It is a real pain for me though because I sleep in my parent’s spare room after I do a nightshift. I just won’t get the same quality of sleep at my house with 3 kids up and down all the time. Gonna really struggle.  I am very tired all the time as it is. Also Lauren often sleeps over at my mums on a Friday night which will have to stop. This is annoying too because it gives me a little break – having 2 kids is much more peaceful than having 3! Never mind – I will cope. His need is greater than mine at the moment. It irritates me a little because at 44 he really should be able to stand on his own two feet. My 2 brothers are chalk and cheese. My other brother just bought a sports car as well as his existing car. He has a nice posh house and goes on 2 to 3 holidays a year. My brother who is moving back home can’t even afford a haircut!

Oh well – I would rather he sorts himself out now than get further into debt and end up doing something stupid.

That’s all for now folks!

Just shows you how families operate – some win, and some don’t win as much – luck of the draw??

I love a good carboot sale, selling not buying! Do your parents have a dining room you/Lauren you could use as a bedroom when you’re there? Seems a shame for Lauren to miss out. I have only spent 20 pounds so far, but this is because I havent been out except to

The park! I hope your brother gets the push and help he needs to get out of credit card debt x

He could try getting himself a 0% credit card and transferring the balance, or at least part of the balance if it’s too much. I ended up taking out a low-interest rate loan to pay off credit cards, and that worked out very well for me. There are options!
