Alright, someone help me solve the Mystery of the Vanishing Seahorse.

My baby Brazilian is gone. Vanished into thin…water.

I acclimated her on Tuesday night, and by Wednesday she was nowhere to be seen. She’s too big to get sucked into the back (but I still looked) and her remains are nowhere. Nothing in my tank could possibly kill and eat something that size in one night. Seahorses also can’t jump (Hell, they can barely SWIM!  ).

How does a 3 inch seahorse somehow vanish from a 12 gallon tank overnight? Needless to say I’m puzzled and a bit frustrated.

On a good note, I definitely saw my Pipefish mating! Pipefish babieeeeeees!!!

perhaps the seahorse found an invisibility cloak in the depths of the tank.

ryn: I love dippin dots. If I had dippin dots access right now I’d definitely be on the road to get some. Perhaps your seahorse has just gone out for dippin dots? You must consider that at her size the trip could take a while. Give her ’til, say, Tuesday. She’ll float back in the door with a backpack and walkin’ shoes, and she’ll have lots of stories to tell about her journey.
