Vacation at Surfside, CA

OMG! I had the best vacation EVER!

3/10/11
We left thursday night around 5:30pm. I had packed my car full of snacks to eat, mostly healthy as Ray is trying to lose weight. We start off and let me tell you. What a LLLLOOOOONNNNNGGG time driving! It wasn’t so terrible as Ray and I had fun bullshitting eachother, singing along to CDS, and playing on our phones. I drove for 6 hours. Then Ray took over and I took a nap. Three hours later we were making WAY too good of timing. I mean, arriving hours before we were supposed to. Since Ray was tired and I was tired we stopped at a rest stop. Lucky i brought a pillow and a blanket and we fell asleep at 3am.

3/11/11
WHAT A STUPID IDEA IT WAS TO SLEEP AT A REST STOP. I dont think we slept, I think we froze in place for a few hours until 6am. I woke up SUPER cold. I mean, cold to the point where you are like WTF! I jumped up, which Ray was half asleep/half awake, told him I am running to the bathroom then we are switching seats and taking off with me driving. A couple hours later we arrive at the Beach House 😀 OH LORDY! It was in a gated community with its own private beach. Boy were we spoiled! Unfortunatly, there was a tsunami warning so we watched the beach for a few minutes from the deck, took a shower and went to bed where WE SLEPT! God were we tired. We woke up with John, the guy who invited us to the beach house, coming home from work. John drew us a map of the area and we went to Long Beach, had some susi, went pink berry and ate our icecream near the beach. Then went to Seal Beach where John was from and went back to Johns. We chatted for a while and John made this awesome dinner with salmon, purple potatoes or something, and asparagus. He soaked pieces of wood in water for an hour, then grilled the fish on the wood inside a grill. YUMMY! Then later John’s neighbor came over who was really interested in what Ray was talking about. I wasn’t so interested but just kind of sat there. I probably seemed a bit rude but I had nothing to input into the conversation. After that we went to bed.

3/12/11
We woke up late which was fun. We drove around Long beach for a while, got pink berry, candy shopping, and some other misc. shopping. Then went back to the beach house at 2. John then dropped us off in Laguna while he did some work; but along the way we bought steak for the dinner that night.. We walked around the area and the beach, took some pictures, and waited while Ray’s friend Deanna came to hang out with us. We had a drink as some place, I paid, and then John called to say he was gonna pick us up. We all got in his vehicle and he drove us up the Laguna mountain to the very top where his friends live. We are talking multi-million dollar homes if-no tens of millions. The people were amazing the view from their balcany was to die for! OMG. And the food. We started with wine, cheese and crackers, and spinach something. OMG. I think they were prune and walnut crackers with Manchago cheese.AMAZING! They sure knew how to cook! We had steak, lemon potatoes, cabbage and some other things I forget. It was all so wonderful! And we got there was the sun was setting. Then for dessert we had strawberries with cream and brown sugar. I never had strawberries that way before and it was super. After dinner we dropped Deanna off at her car, went back to the beach house and went to bed.

3/13/11
Woke up late 😀 We went to Long beach for shopping and starbucks. Stopped at a wine store and bought John a $129 bottle of red wine for inviting us to the beach house. Went back to the beach house were john was  leaving for something and basically i went to bed and didn’t wake up until the next day LOL.

 3/14/11
We woke up late again. Went to In and Out Burger for lunch. It was okay, not as great as some people make it to be. Then we drove over to the Aquarium and paid $25 each for one super piece-of-shit. It only took like a half hour to walk and wasn’t very interesting besides the life-size whale on the cieling. We walked over to get ice cream, which took forever because there is this strange concrete wall around the aquarium with a staircase over the streets but the staircase was only half built so we had to walk to the second story of the aquarium, walk around the top and cross over that way. It was complicated and HOT. Plus, I need new jeans cause my jeans were WAY too tight to be wearing them all day. Ate our icecream as we walked back to the parking structure and drove to the beach house; but along the way back we stopped and got John a $129 bottle of red wine for inviting us to the beach house.. We flew kits for a while, Ray really got his high up in the air and mine not-so-much. Then we sat on a blanket and just watched the waves crash seeing as the weather was nice and there was no wind. BY-FAR the best day for the weather. But, it is very calm at night which doesn’t count 😛 That evening we went to a eat at a Greek place with John, but had drink on the upper deck of the beach house then had drinks at a local pub for a minute. We had the lemon potatoes at the Greek place but it wasn’t nearly as good. The meal wasn’t the best, it was okay, but I didn’t really enjoy it too much. Went back to the beach house and said our goodbyes to John because we wouldn’t see him in the morning. I stood at the sight of darkness agianst the beach and then went inside. Ray and I went to bed.

3/15/11
We woke up LATE! Planned on leaving at 8am we didn’t leave until 9:30. I drove six hours, then Ray drove six hours. It was a great time. Ray bought a CD and we listened to some of the songs over and over and over. It was Adele. Dropped Ray off, went home, changed into work clothes, talked to my cousin for a minute and found out the house duck (yes I said house duck) had to be put down because she was having seizures, drove back to Ray because he forgot his phone in my car and I AM SUCH A GOOD BOYFRIEND!!!! then went to work.

I might have a few things mixed up because as I was writing this I was think wait no this happened sooner. Wait no… that doesn’t make sense. But, its the jizz that counts so enjoy 😉 Maybe later I will post pictures because it was SO MUCH FUN!
