Ryan’s Day at Cedar Point Halloweekends
Dear Diary,
Well the morning started well and we got dressed to go. I knew it was going to be cold so I had blue jeans, sweatshirt, and a black fleece over that. Ryan had the black fleece I had bought him, with a long sleeved shirt and sweatpants. I called my bro to see if he was coming, but I couldn’t get a hold of him, so Ryan and I got going. We first stopped at Jammin’ Java for breakfast. Then I drove to the interstate and then we got to Sandusky safely. It was still early, about 11:20am and they didn’t open until about Noon. Actually, we found out that we could get in the front gate, but we just couldn’t get past a certain point in the park. I think Ryan was impressed. For the most part Ryan rode the smaller rides with me, I don’t think I got him on…oh wait, I did get him on 1 rollercoaster, the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. I didn’t get to ride the Maverick again this year, but I purchased a season pass for next year, so that’ll definately get me a ride. Anyway, we rode the Matterhorn, Scrambler, Ocean Motion, and Tilt-A-Whirl. Later that night Ryan got me to go into the scarier parts of the park where it was just fog and people jumped out to scare you. It was okay, but still creepy.
One of the better things about that day is the hands. Several times during the day we crossed that point in our relationship where he was comfortable holding my hand. Especially at night, he said he didn’t want to loose me, so we got to hold hands at night a lot. It was a fullfilliment of a fantasy of mine I’ve had for years, walking around with someone’s hand in mine. So anyway we left really late (waited 25 mins in line after the park closed for an elephant ear and cotton candy) because the parking lot everyone was leaving at the same time. We got home about 2:15am so I didn’t make it to church that morning but it was,and I told Ryan this, one of the best days of my life.
