Amish Country

Dear Diary,

it’s definately getting colder around here.  I’m sniffling a bit today.  I hope I’m not getting sick.

Last weekend was great!  I was so excited I got to leave work on time, which was a rarity that week.  I got to my car at the rapid station and drove straight to Ryan’s.  It wasn’t too bad, considering rush hour traffic.  I got to his place around 5:45, which was very good.  I think it’s been my earliest arrival time yet.  He was suprised as well, and gave me a great kiss to prove it.

We went to run some errands, then got some dinner from The Jammin’ Java Place.  We talked to Ryan’s mom a bit, then went back to Ryan’s room and watched VACANCY.  He’d never seen it before, but I had, and liked it.  It’s a great suspense movie.  We went to bed early, since we had to get up early.

Saturday morning brought me up around 7:30am.  I work Ryan up and we talked a bit before getting ready to go.  I spent some money on him Friday, so I stopped at the ATM before we left for the freeway.  It was a pleasant drive, even though I got off of I-77 somehow.  I had to turn around and get back on it.  For some reason I went on I-76 East.  I guess it was just too early for me or something.  I wish Ryan could afford a new bed mattress.  So we got down to Dover and I drove him first to the Holmes County Amish Flea Market.  Don’t really know why they call it Amish, there aren’t that many Amish sellers there, but some are.

We walked around and ate there.  Ryan enjoyed it.  It began what would be our regular routine of smelling the candles.  Ryan has a bunch of candles in his room, and it’s something we have in common.  We smlled a whole lot of ’em that day.  The rest of the afternoon saw us from going to Sol’s in Berlin(http://www.solsinberlin.com/), then Dutch Hospitatlity places in Walnut Creek(http://www.dhgroup.com/).  We ended up seeing the World’s Largest Cookoo Clock at Alpine Homestead(http://www.alpine-alpa.com/) and went to the Amish Door in Wilmot(http://www.amishdoor.com/).  Just checking out these websites now brings back memories.  And I see some of them you can shop online.

For dinner we ate at Der Dutchman in Walnut Creek.  I love the combo of mashed potatoes, roast beef, and bread and mushy in my mouth.  Ryan loved it and had a great day.  He bought a few candles and some Avon products he saw at the Flea Market.  I looked at him few times while driving home.  It’s been a dream of mine to have a lover sitting next to me in a car sleeping, and it came true that night.  It took us about an hour and 22mins to get home.  We made love that night, and fell sleep in each others arms.  I love holding his naked body in the candlelight, stroking his smooth warm skin.  Makes me think of how lucky I am to have found him.

Sunday morning I skipped church just to spend a few more hours with him, and left around 11:40am.  My mother was waiting for me at home and we went to Olmsted Falls High School for their free pancake breakfast.  Then we went to Olmsted Falls Day in the Park, and then to Grand Pacific Junction for their fall festival.  All in all a great weekend, and it was the first time I got a picture of Ryan and I together.  I also took a pic of him sleeping Sunday morning, hehehe.
