Here comes that name again

Dear Diary,

Last night after work my mom stopped by and we were going to the rapid to get back home.

In Tower City there are a lot of different stores and my mother stopped into Ann Taylor cause they had a sale.  Well I wanted to go to Go! afterwards, so we did.  I bought 2 really nice Dragon musicboxes that were 1/2 off.  While there I met a cute employee there named Zach.  We clicked almost immediately, and I felt very comfortable talking to him.  Now my Gaydar is not the best, but I did get a vibe from him he might play for my team.  Before leaving I got to give him my card with my AIM and email on it, told him I’d see him around.  My mom saw me give him the card and afterwards I saw this look on her face, like she suspected me and was thinking.  But then I started talking about my purchases to get my mind off of it.

When I got home, I figured it would take Zach a while to get home and email me, so I waited until this morning to check.  Not a word.  I’m half-tempted to walk over to the store again today and see if he’s working again.

12:40pm

Well, I realized that I didn’t check the right email address I had given Zach, so I went to the library during my lunch to check my email.  He didn’t email me, so I headed over to Tower City to get some Arby’s Chicken sandwiches.  After getting them, eventually(they must of had to make more of them up, for I waited and saw people who ordered after me get their food before me), I walked down to where Go! the Game Store was.  Zach was there, and what was even nicer is that he remembered my name.  I wanted to ask him out after asking him if he was straight or not.  We talked for a while.  He was hungry now since he saw me holding the Arby’s bag, so I offered him one of my 2 sandwhiches.  He thanked me and asked me what he owed me.  Nothing, I said.  Soon afterwards I asked him.  He is straight, so my heart fell when I heard that.  It’s just a summer job for him there, and then he’s going back to school.  He’s good looking, but I don’t mind if I don’t hear from him again, even though he does seem pretty cool.  So instead of going out on my first date in 3.5 years tonight, I will be going to Borders in Westlake to stand in line for the new Harry Potter book.  Oh well.

He reminded me a lot of my friend Luke from college, and I miss him.  Luke doesn’t communicate with me at all, and I know he’s in New York right now.  Luke, if you’re reading this, drop me a line buddy.
