Shoulda said no

It makes me happy, but infinitely sad.

At times it seems we could fit together perfectly. Hand in hand. Heart in heart.

But I know that is not how it will work.  You are young. Impatient. You dont realize that love is not enough.

You don’t see your heart leaving mine.  But I have walked this road. I know this path.

I’ll end up alone. I always do. Weaker for the break.
