Maize Maze

Get it?  Maize is another word for corn, right?  Maize maze?  Corn maze!  I slay me!

The youth group and I went out to the corn maze on Sunday.  I haven’t gotten the disposable camera developed yet, so I can’t put up pics yet.  (Actually, I don’t know if I should without their permission…hm.)  We had a really good time.  We split into teams to add a competitive element.  Of course my team won! 

The youth group thing is going well so far.  I’m under some pressure to have the kids participate in a bake sale that the younger kids are doing for their Heifer project.  And some of the moms want them to do a Christmas play this year.  I would not have wanted to do a bake sale when I was in high school, so I’m not going to push that on them.  But I might insist on the play.  They need to do something to give to the parish, and this would be a start.  I still want to hook them into a bigger service/mission project of some kind.

But right now I’m just geeked that they keep coming back each week.
