Spending money

I don’t have much of it.  But I spent some today, anyway.  I really struggled over what to buy.  I wanted to get an office chair; I don’t like the side chair I’ve been sitting in for, oh, about 6 years now.  But then they had digital cameras in the store.  And I don’t have one of those.  And they have 3-in-1 printers there, too.  And I don’t have MS Office at home, just WordPerfect.

In the end I bought the chair.  Then I want to Target.  BIG mistake.  Big.  But I was relatively frugal there, too.  I bought a dutch oven and a set of knives.  The knives are Kitchen Aid, not Wusthof like I really want but can’t afford, but they’re better than the crappy ones I had.  At least these knives are forged carbon, not stamped stainless like my old ones.  And the new set included one of those very now santoku knives Rachael Ray uses all the time.  Wooo hooo!  And I haven’t had a dutch oven for about, oh, five years.  The last one I had was left in the fridge way too long and was eventually thrown out with the disgusting colony of fungi and bacteria that had grown in it.  This one is calphalon, so it can go in the oven.  Wooo hooo!
