Two in one

Monday night I spent at Jan’s…and just as I start writing this, I realize I am too tired to commit the details. *sigh*

I went on a walk around the neighborhood with her teen daughter, just to discuss teen issues. Came home and we ate as a family — youngest daughter (of two) sang and tried terribly to play the guitar. Then Jan left for an appointment with her counselor. I helped youngest with her math homework (3rd grade), then loaded them both up in my truck to look at the Christmas lights being setup for display in the RV park at the town lake.

Unfortunately, since they are not officially on display yet, they turn them off just after sunset, so instead we visited my folks who are camped there for the next week or so.

Came home, saw them both to bed, and then talked with Jan who also was curled up in bed for about an hour, before going home. I got a hug.

Tonight, I invited Adriene over to discuss our making Mexican dinner for Thanksgiving for our Bible study group. I told her I’d make dinner, and she joked, “Oh, well better make it a three course meal then!”… so I did. Salad (from a bag), then broiled salmon (lime/dill) over angelhair pasta (in chicken stock) and rosemary/sage braized asparagus spears. Dessert was a scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla ice cream, served with an orange twist and topped with hot fudge ribbon and Triple Sec.

When she called before coming over, she told me it would have to be quick as she felt herself getting sick and wanted to be at home in bed. She stayed on to help me do dishes and clean the kitchen, then another hour of talking in the living room before departing. I got another hug.

Thats like two hugs in one week. And not from family. *this is me smiling dreamily* Adriene is warm and soft…

Oh, and my roommate decided to rearrange the furniture tonight (he was doing it as Adriene arrived) because his girl-friend and he needed to be setting on a couch facing the TV directly while playing video games.

After Adriene left, and then Jan calling and we talking for about an hour, Jared (roomie) and his gf showed up to yet again move the furniture. We agreed to meet back here tomorrow night to try again to find a satisfactory arrangement.

Tomorrow, sign language class is cancelled, and God providing such, its also the same night as my neighborhood improvement meeting. So I get to attend that…as well as move furniture.

Cool beans!

Don’t forget to move furniture next week, too.

I love to move furniture. I drive people crazy doing it. Its like a hobby. You sound like you need more HUGS than you got. SO here is a stack of *********HUGS*********** just for you from me. I was reading about your doings and wishing you were closer. For the first time maybe ever I really wish I had more people around me but I am so fussy or hard to get on with its just not how it ends up. Are

Just nostalgic and low on energy BTW. No majors going on (just so there is no worry). Its good to see you here a bit more regularly too. I miss you when you wander off being the busy soul you are. Anyway … ***MUCH MUCH HUGS***
