I mowed my lawn tonight.

It takes two and a half hours. This with a push-mower, with power-assist.

I showered quickly, and spent the rest of the evening at the dollar theater, Chili’s, and the dollar theater again with a friend and her teenage son. I saw Madagascar again (they hadn’t seen it) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith for the first time (they had seen it). Now I’m going to journal this, then go play Tribes 2 for a round or two.

I’ll spend pretty much all of tomorrow with April and kids. I’ll go get them and take them to church, then bring them here, grill out if weather permits, have April’s assistance pulling cable through my house (hopefully my roommate’s assistance too — he’s much smaller and more nimble in the crawl space). Then I’ll drop her kids at church in the evening, before the two of us go to small group together… well, in the same car.

The group I joined is hosted by a woman from church who I’m quite interested in. If you are new to my journal, this may well end up being a repeat of the bible study entries from about 4 years ago — small group at Jill’s house. In that case, another player moved in on my turf while I was incapacitated during seasonal affective disorder.

Now, they are married (just this spring, the bastage!). I expect the same to happen here. But its okay…

…I’m a professional at this.

Awh Parra (hug). Chin up. You know He has a plan for you. Honestly, do you really think April could be that plan? That she is who God would have you spend your life with? I could be wrong, but I’m willing to bet that He has someone wonderful set aside for you. Patience, young grasshopper.

No, you misunderstand. I’m trying to score with the bible study host…and expect to be unseated this winter. But that’s okay, I’m a professional at this. *g*

What about light therapy? I’ve heard it does wonders for SAD (My brother suffers from this as well). It could be worth a try, and then you’d not be facing losing something you want/need. http://www.clevelandclinic.org/health/health-info/docs/1400/1484.asp?index(type the equals sign here, the note system won’t let me put it in)6412 and: http://www.apollolight.com/

YOu get right in there and you better play a good game! Sweep that Bible study host right off her feet. No way someone’s gonna get in on your action but you!!!!

Ya know … if you actually decided to be the one doing the sweeping I think you would be a rather unstoppable force …

ooh..where do you find a brain mold?? That sounds soo wonderful for a Halloween Party. In fact, I feel a party in the making, my kids would LOVE this!!! As to the light therapy, I’m sorry it wouldn’t work for you. You’re such a dear person, I hate to think of you suffering through the darker seasons this way.

RYN: We have the little buggers too. They’re not so bad, because I don’t mind squashing them. If I were to squash the big ones, I’d be able to hear/feel the crunch. Ughh. *shudders just thinking about it*
