Snow!
I hadn’t realized it, but it’s January! Heck, it’s almost February. This didn’t occur to me because the weather has been unseasonably nice. Last night, though, a horribly cold wind came upon us and it was followed by snow. This has provided me with hours of entertainment. He and I went outside to play. I would throw a snowball at Him, and he would angrily slash it to pieces. Then He would wait for the next snowball. Cat’s are great.
I also used the excuse for some breathing excersizes. Snowy air is always so clean and crisp. It’s sometimes hard to take a deep breath though since it’s always so cold. I managed to stay out there for a little while. In fact, I was able to stay and meditate longer than Jonas or Ren! I’d rather be humble, but I can’t deny that I was impressed with myself. Jonas and Ren call me dense. I call me stubborn.
No paths were cleared. Only roofs were shoveled by the wardens. We had to make our own paths through the neighborhood. That’s fine by me, it’s a good excuse to practice jumping and trudging. I like jumping and trudging. There’s an old survival tip that they tell people that might get lost in the mountains. If you want water, heat ice, not snow. Snow is a little water for a lot of effort, while ice is a better amount of water. I think that’s all fine and dandy, but snow tends to be really pure, so I made myself a cup of snow and brought it inside to warm into water. I would occassionally add more snow so it would actually add up. Eventually I had myself a singly delicious glass of water.
I’m drinking from it only occassionally, trying to savor it. And that is why there is two glasses of water next to me right now. So Doughb0y can stop looking at me strangly.
Hey wait! I left a message here. Something about not needing water if you had snow. *frowns* But when I came back here to reread something, it was gone! Note thief!! Note thief!
