Explosive Situation
I was able to meet up with my Russian friend Olga yesterday, and we made plans to go out last night. We went to a dance club for a couple of hours where we met with some of her friends. We all returned to my hotel room for beers and conversation. Olga began not feeling well so everyone left. I noticed that Olga forgot her cigarettes and lighter. I walked onto my 3rd floor balcony and yelled down to them as they were waiting for a taxi. I told her I have her things and threw down the pack of cigarettes. She walked into the street and retrieved them. I then threw down the lighter. I had no idea that this could possible happen: Upon impact, the lighter exploded! hahahaha!!!! It was crazy! It was also quite loud! Other people across the street were standing on their balconys, and all looked in the direction of the blast, then at my balcony. I quickly dropped down…as though THAT would help! It’s not like the coppers couldn’t simply go to the front desk and ask who the idiot was who was staying in that room. Holy! I would think safety mechanisms would be in place to prevent such things!
