Objects a la Casa

Yes, I was bored earlier today.  It is literally raining  on my parade.

Attempted some algebra.  That quickly progressed into *staring around the room* Why do I bother?

Walked with the boys to the Y, in the rain.  Lifted weights in lieu of cardio.

Cooked pork chops on the grill.

Upon consulting the road atlas….

I’ve decided there are many, many places in the UNITED STATES that I need to visit:

Mt. Rushmore

The Redwood Forest

I AM going to hike the Appalacian Trail before I am 40!

The Grand Canyon

Las Vegas

Petrified Forest National Park

Yosemite Nat’l PArk

Rocky Mountain Nat’l Park

The Adirondack Mountains

The Florida Keys….

I’ve been to Europe but have never been to these places in my back yard so to speak.

So where have you been?

ryn: thank you so much! i’ve been very near the petrified forest & the grand canyon national parks, but didn’t make it to either (driving though on a greyhound bus). someday…someday…and hey – the pennsylvania part of the appalachian trail isn’t to far away from me…i’ve GOT to check that out! ever read bill bryson’s a walk in the woods? great tale of the app. trail!

hostels yep. where in europe?

The keys are gorgeous but be careful. It is not much of a family place. They are too small. I stopped by an old friends (owns a restaurant) we found out about the locals and why he chose the keys. They have a large gay population. Most wouldnÂ’t notice. it was very pretty and a must see. The beaches are great the food is better and plenty of places to get drunk and have fun! Just ask before you go

I’ve been to Europe, South Africa, Korea. I was born in Japan. Haven’t really seen much of the US, unfortunately. I’d like to visit New York and also the West coast (San Fransisco, Seattle, Vancoover). I love the picture of your cat on your diary contents page, BTW.

I’ve been to about 2/3 of the States, as well asn Canada, Mexico, England, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. I was in a rather well-known boys chior when I was a kid, so that’s where I got a lot of my travels done.
