Saturday, 9/3/13.
The holiday is booked! We are going to… Antigua, Fuerteventura! Specifically to a hotel called Globales Costa Tropical.
We met up at Dave’s last night to look for something, settled on Feurteventura and found a really nice place for £316, but when Dave called up to book it turned out transfers and baggage fees topped it up to £440pp which was more than Jake could afford so that scrapped that plan. This was at like 11pm and we were all tired so Dave said he’d ring our other choice (Antigua) this morning and get a quote from them as they stood at just under £300 on the website.
I got home from work (9 – 12:45pm) and Thorpe goes ‘holiday’s booked!’ … cue a little freaking out from me regarding where we were actually going and what price it ended up being, but it was actually okay, around £350 for everything including transfers and whatnot. So yay, we’re going on holiday! The temperature looks to be about 19 degrees average which isn’t too bad… not cold, certainly. I didn’t really get to look much at the details last night so I’ve been browsing this afternoon and it actually looks quite nice for a budget hotel. It’s got a big pool (possibly more than one actually) with a bar at one end so that’s Dave pleased, it’s right on the beach, there’s chipmunks everywhere that apparently eat straight from your hand (squeee!), plenty of local shops/pubs/etc close by and best of all… all inclusive baby! We go on the 14th April and come back on the 21st. Not sure of flight times yet and all the final details but woop, holiday! Excitiiiing.
Other than that… just doing my comping 🙂
