Thoughts on some “Hollywood” things & other stuff

Sanjaya remains on American Idol! To borrow Simon’s words for his performance last night, "I’ll probably hate myself in saying this but that was actually not horrible." And Randy is also right by saying that Sanjaya is one of the smartest contestants on the show. By singing a Latin song last night, with Spanish lyrics and all, Sanjaya seemed to have some sort of strategy to prolong his questionable presence on Idol, despite his obvious lack of singing talent compared to the other contestants. It seems the others lack strategic talent compared to Sanjaya after all. I wonder how long it’s going to hold him up there.

On another story, I’m glad that the paternity issue of Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter has finally reached a conclusion. I was excited the other day in learning that the DNA test result will be released the day after. Yesterday I woke up close to noon and had forgotten all about the release of the DNA result. As usual I turned on the TV shortly after waking up and while flicking through the channels nonchalantly, my eye suddenly caught the headline on CNN: Larry Birkhead is the daddy. I was surprised to see the news. I actually pity Howard K. Stern in some ways. I was relieved that this issue now has an answer and the rest of the world can let go of it.

As a certified home buddy and couch, or rather, computer seat potato for now, I’ve spent some ample of hours browsing YouTube when I’m not in my study mode for my upcoming certification exam. My Favorite List is currently overflowing with videos and I hope you don’t mine me sharing to you some new video discoveries of mine. You’ve probably seen these two:

I was quite a fan of the Black Eyed Peas original version and I’m more amazed of this one by Alanis Morissette. Is this funny or great or what?!

In fact, Fergie thinks it’s brilliant. After all, Immitation is the sincerest form of flattery, as what it says on the article.

And I hope this raises your cheekbones and brightens up your day:

Sanjaya will remain on American Idol for as long as VoteForTheWorst.com can monopolize the phone lines each week. I wrote about it in my diary, it’s actually pretty sad. ~ Tay
