So I had been planning on moving out in March. That was before my car was totaled and I had to buy a new one. Which pushed things back a bit. I had settled on April. Apparently that isn’t soon enough for mom. One of the first things she asked when she returned from Cayman was, "So have yoiu started looking for apartments?"

I have, and I found a few that I think I can afford on my own but with a second bedroom so that Lyss can move in too when she is able. But I was still planning on April so I would have a couple more paychecks first. Which I told her.

"Well we were counting on you moving out in March, so you should start looking harder. There are only three more weeks." 

Oh. So much for wanting me to feel like this is still my home.
