Random babblings & the weather

"J", a friend from lj got me sucked into Facebook, it’s a little addicting with all the bells and whistles. I met up with a few friends I haven’t seen in years – at least 1 friend from 20 yrs ago which also led me to find another back then too somewhere else. I’ve also made a new friend – very interesting indeed (we share similar interests ^_^).

As for LJ, I seem to be loosing people off my friendslist it seems every other day (and I wouldn’t be surprised here too). One person dropped me because she just didn’t want to be friends anymore (I’m not forcing people to like me nor am I forcing the issue) and another complained that I don’t comment enough on her journal. I’m not offended in the least – if people don’t want me around what can I do. I’m not begging. As for the comment excuse, I clearly state in my userinfo:

~I enjoy meeting new and interesting people, I also like to read my friend’s journals and time to time will reply to their post(s). More often I’ll respectfully just sit back and read because some posts aren’t meant to have comments and in the past I have been snapped at for giving someone encouraging words – so please don’t think I’m adding you "just to add you" to make my journal look good which is far from the case.~

Oh well…..

So far it’s been a nice but overly hot summer. I’m not complaining too much because last summer was wet and miserable, another reason why I’m not complaining too much is last year there were several hurricane threats. But the weather the last couple of weeks has been a real roller coaster to say the least. One week it’s pouring like cats and dogs and the following week like living in an oven.

Speaking of oven…… I love take-away, but the novelty is starting to wear a little thin, so decided to heat up the house a little more by making shaken bake pork chops w/veggies – sure, I used Southern Fried (chicken) coating but it’s better then nothing.

 *meh*

It’s starting to get muggy again  at least it stopped raining (but for how long?)
