A few good things…

1) My horse does NOT have EPM.

This is a big one. There’s whole long convoluted story of how we came to be worried about this prospect, but the simple fact is- his bloodwork is negative. No EPM. Woot.

2) My horse’s lameness is caused by something fixable. And his general muscle weakness is caused by his lack of appetite from the pain of aforementioned lameness.

He’s been skimpin’ on the chow because his spine hurts, and he’s been tired and fatigue-y because he’s not eating. Apparently he thinks he’s a supermodel.

3) My other horse’s abscesses are healing and his strained tendon is too.

This is kinda big because now he can walk on BOTH front legs at the SAME TIME. No more ‘drunken sailor’ walks outside to get his legs cold-hosed while dodging size 3 hooves. He might be better, but MY toes may never recover.

4) My mom is feeling better.

This is huge. CHF is no fun and the fact that she’s home again puttering around and planting flowers in the back yard makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love my mom.

That’s all from here. Just a few good things from my world of chaos. Things I am thankful for.

Thank you, God.

So glad to hear these good things! šŸ™‚ And I apologize for hardly ever noting. This year has been a pretty awful one, and I have neglected many of my OD friends. Your notes are always appreciated, and never fail to make me smile. You may whip me with wet noodles for being such a rotten noter. Hugs!

Random noter: Glad your horses are okay. I adore them and grew up around them but have never owned one myself. Good luck with your mom. My dad also has CHF (and a bunch of other things, unfortunately) so I know how challenging it can be. Best wishes to all of you.

Reading this made me laugh when I saw “he thinks he is a supermodel” cause that reminds me of my horse. He refuses to get his hooves wet and even though he is a he … he has gotten the nickname Barbie. Glad to hear though your horses are doing better. *hugs*
