my vacation

Hi to all who read my diary ,

about two weeks ago my family and I went on vacation it was the first real vacation we have been able to go on in 5 years so it was really nice to be able to get away.

we went to Massachusetts to see my mom , my sister and her family and my brother and his family , it took us 16 hours to get from here to Ma , we stopped in Newyork over night and got there the next day it was nice to finally get out of the car and not have to get back in to get on the road for awhile .

we spent a week in Ma , I got to talk alot with my family and had lots of fun .

my wife and our kids went to the Boston Museum of science with my sister brother in law neice nephew and his girl friend – we took a subway train and a trolly to get there (my wife and kids had never been on a subway train or trolly they enjoyed their first time on them) we went there for my sons birthday (he turned 3 ) we went to a butterfly garden( it was really neat )A planetarium show featuring the worlds of star wars and how they compare to planets in our solar system(it was cool ) and we looked at all kinds of exibits then we wnet back to my sisters house (where we stayed while visiting ) and had cake and ice cream after dinner (my brother and his family came down to celebrate also) it was one of the best birthdays my son has had so far .

while there my wife and kids and my neice went to a place called castle island – it is a huge park type area right by Boston harbor and across from the airport – there is a big civil war fort there that looks like a giant castle.we went to a big pier and watched the planes fly into and take off form the airport it was cool and my kids loved seeing the big planes (in Mi we only see small planes so it was a new experiance for them) we had a fun time .

also my wife grew up in Mi and had never experianced the oceans high and low tides so I took her around the area and she got to see how the water looked at low and high tides she also got pics of Boston at night the kids playing in the water and lots of pics of my family .

we took a trip out to see my nana (she lives in the middle of the state and my family lives on the coast – I grew up there and moved to Mi when I was 24)it was good to see her and we had a nice visit there to.

we only had a week to spend there and it went so quick and when it was time to go we all wanted to stay longer but we couldn’t and we had to get on the road and head back home .

the trip home was good but long (it felt like it took forever to get back home)and we made it back safe , my wife and I both agreed that 1 week was not long enough and we are going to try and go back to Ma again in 2 years (I will have 3 weeks vacation then) and we will go back for 2 weeks next time .
