Smoothie of the Day …
Today I made an unusual smoothie that didn’t quite work out as planned, but very tasty all the same.
Ingredients:
1 apple sliced (need to break the apple down into small pieces next time)
1 tablespoon of flaxseeds
1 tablespoon natural sugar
1 c up of frozen strawberries sliced
1 can of red raspberries drained (fresh or frozen is a lot better)
1 banana
Well I first tried to blend it all together, without the raspberries, bad idea … the apples just jammed the whole operation, so I took the apples out and added the raspberries.
It was very good, Mum liked this mixture less than yesterday’s. Ditto. This one had a bit of an aftertaste from the red raspberries. I’m thinking of making frozen fruit mixtures to blend in the morning for breakfast, it’s definitely nice after yoga.
