Mom’s last day
Mom came home to be with the animals…yesterday she slept most of the day…last evening..she woke and Sabastian yelled..”you up”..and mom said “yes I’m up” he then said..”I love you”…and she didn’t answer so I told him she loved him too..he paused and said..”do you love me?” she then answered him and said..”yes I love you very very much” he than said..”I love you too”…last night he YELLED..”bye bye”…she died this morning around 6:30…her final words were she wasn’t feeling well so I asked if she wanted me to call the nurse and she said yes..I picked up the phone and as it was ringing..I looked back and could tell by her eyes she was gone though she was still breathing with small gasps.
Family and friends came to see her before she was taken…the dogs and cats spent some time with her too…Lily stayed with her until mom was taken out by the funeral home.
My sister is executor so she is taking care of arrangements…my brother is coming home this week…mom’s wishes were to be cremeated right away and then for everyone to have a party…so the party is planned for thursday..my sister has it all planned with laying out photos and things she enjoyed.
Thanks to all who have supported me through all of this.

I’m so sorry Ruthie. This is terrible. I know she is no longer suffering with her breathing but this doesn’t make it easier. Please know that I’m here for you, if you need anything, please contact me. Again, I’m sorry for the loss of your Mom.

I am so very sorry that you have to experience this loss. I hope the pain subsides as it is supposed to and as easily as possible. I can’t imagine how difficult this must be. (((hugs)))

I am so sorry. I, too, lost my mother a few years ago. I know how horribly painful it is. *hugs* What a blessing that she was able to be with you and with the animals at the end. *hugs*

Hope you’re still hanging in there, Ruthie; I know it will be a roller coaster for the next bit, but things *will* work themselves out and get better. I know there are a lot of people praying for you, and pulling for you. You’re not alone, even though I can imagine it feels that way at times. I still admire you; you are a beautiful and wonderful person. Thank you for being my friend. 🙂 janie

I am so very sorry. I lost my Mother back in March… And no matter how much you (I) think you are prepared or not… It is still so hard to deal with… And speaking from my own experiences (and Sassy–here on OD too) life has changed so much it unexplainable. Anyway, just to let you know… thinking of you.
