lla la la louis.

I decided to check out the robin’s nest today. I stood up on the picnic table, and I thought I saw a little tiny beak peaking up out of the nest.*Wait* After five minutes I was rewarded for my patience when the mother robin flew in and her three babies (chicks?) stuck out there heads to get a bite of the delicious worm she carried. After eyeing me for a moment she decided I was in fact not a cat and just a “harmless” human and proceeded to feed her chicks/babies.

It was decidely beautiful. I will photograph it tomorrow. I’ve recently developed a strong love for birds. People don’t notice them, but they’re everywhere. They fill our worlds with song and eat pounds of bugs a day. I’ve always had a natural affinity towards blue herons and king fishers of the lake, mostly because I’ve always spent the majority of my summer days on or in the water. Now i’m paying attention to the colors of the birds and their songs. I love seeing the robin’s nest.

I noticed as I wrote the first paragraph of this entry that it was very to the point, direct. I think that my writing style has changed immensely since I started college. My course of study is scientific, and all of the writing that I do is very scientific in nature. Simple, direct. Use one word where one word is appropriate and two words where two words are appropriate. No gushing. No strong heart felt sentiments without boundaries. Proper.

BAH to that. Yay for writing for myself.

The summer has officially begun in my world. Actually I’ve been out of school and working for three weeks now. Doesn’t seem possible, but it’s true. It’s strange to be at home, and even stranger to be without my dear friend Bessie. She was a good companion and a great friend. Always willing to adventure. Oh my poor ford escort has gone to the place of no return. And my wallet aches at the thought of replacing her.

Being without a vehicle isn’t so bad. I spend alot of time reading, use my bike for transportation, and spend more time close at home. I’ve moved to Quimby’s already to escape the smoke of my house. So i’m two miles up a dirt road 9 miles away from the closest town. I read.

I’ve always enjoyed reading. It’s been a main pleasure and past time for me. I have to admit that lately I’ve been reading pure smut.

Oh summer time… when the livings easy.

I like birds, too. I’ve been reading a book about owls lately, they’re so interesting! And cute, too:) Summer isn’t too easy over here, I feel like I’m working like crazy.
