and yeah.

So, I don’t know if I dodged a bullet or just stepped into a land mine. Today I was supposed to take an exam in my Asian Traditions class. I always do horribly on these exams, they’re only fifty minutes long and all essay. So I was definitely dreading this exam. She gave us an option to not take the exam, but to instead write an eight page paper… in addition to another eight page paper… both of which will be due on Thursday… before noon.

Now, I also have to finish my drawing portfolio and a three dimensional design class final projects tonight. All of which are due on Wednesday. However, I will be done for the day by 3:30 at the very latest tomorrow, leaving me with roughly 16 hours of writing time. I think that it’s a total possibility that I can finish and do well.

I write so much better than I take tests. I have a firm control over the English language and all of its nuances. Even if I can’t spell there is always spell checker to save me there. I full believe that I can nail these two essays. I mean really they’re only 4 pages of single space typing. Totally can master it. Now if I can just get my art projects set I’ll be fine.

The end of the semester is always crazy like this. I don’t know how to deal with it really. Well I mean, obviously I do know how to deal with it. Just plowing through it all like a bull in a china shop. No.. really I do have it all together sort of. I thinnk.

So, last night as an RA staff we went to a little awards ceremony.. Yeah.. I rock. It was so nice. I got two wonderful awards, and it made me so happy. I’ve been pretty sick these past two weeks and not quite up to snuffers, so I totally didn’t expect to get anything.  It’s nice to be appreciated.

AND! we’re doing secret snowflakes as a staff, which I’m so very excited about. I love! Love! LOVE! giving presents. I got a great person too, and this person will hopefully really like my gift to them.. which will be mostly homemade as I’m broke. But what else is new! =)

The only person I’m actually actively buying a present for is Dave. I’ve made some things for him as well. I’m so addicted to getcrafty and not martha. It’s sickening really. I have all of these pages bookmarked on my computer and I”m bound to start printing out the things I want to make over break. Over thanksgiving break I made myself a nice tote bag and i”m going to make a few more of those with different features for a few of my friends.  I’m going to add pockets and other nifty things to them. Mine has held out really well. I really like mine alot. I definitely kept the nicest materials for myself. I think this is okay though.

so yeah.. I just totally rambled about nothing in this entry. There really is not a lot for me to say though.  It’s nice to have a little bit of catharsis now and again.
