EDIT – Things to do before youre thirty:
Be in a Rage Against the Machine Mosh pit = CHECK!
It was AWESOME. I went to see them on Tuesday. But let me tell you the whole story.
So I bought two tickets a couple of months back for myself and my friend Annika who moved back to Germany last year. She was going to come over for the gig. But she ended up not being able to go so I was looking to sell the ticket. My friend Mark was my first choice but he was away for the Bank Holiday weekend and so he wouldn’t have been back on time. So I asked Rachel but she couldn’t go. So I ended up selling the ticket to my mate Christian. Now, it was one of those new print out ones. You know when you buy the ticket and have the option to print it out straight away rather than waiting for it to come in the post? Well it was one of those anyway. So I gave it to him and told him something like: “Don’t be confused it’s one of those printed out ones but it’s real.” So he pocketed and I went home. Or rather to the hair dressers and to get another treatment thingy for my carpet (grrrr… updates on that some other time) and then home. No excitement about the hair … just got the ends cut to tidy it up a little… still letting it grow. No news there. So anyway… weekend was uneventful. Spent it playing Dragon Age Origins. Monday was the BH so I was off then aswell and Tuesday night was the concert. Now I was meant to go with a couple of Annika’s old mates but it turned out they all had seated tickets and I had a standing ticket (of course) so Christian and I wanted to go together. So I sat on the bus into town and rang him and at one stage he asked me: Stupid question now but you still have my ticket, right?” Me: “What? No I gave that to you!!” Him: “No you didn’t. You said it was a copy and worthless.” Me: “No I didn’t! I specifically told you that it was a print out one and that you need to hold on to it.” So he ended up without a ticket and had to go home and wanted to ring me later. He never did. Anyway… so I went on my own and just arrived in the middle of the support act. They were absolutely brilliant! I will need to check their name. I loved them. They were kinda SKAish punkish rockish like… really liked them. I ended up feeling like a cougar though. I was surrounded by all this little kids talking about their leaving certs!!! Aaaaaarrrrgh… you weren’t even BORN when Rage were big effers! LOL Then I was hit on by some little fella who told me eventually his mate forgot his ID and now can’t get a drink. WTF… kids… Anyway… so I stood middle stage about 10th row or sow when Rage started and the place went absolutely MENTAL!!!! I lasted about five minutes in the mosh pit that developed and made my way to the side then from where I could see the stage brilliantly and, more importantly, could actually breathe!!! And have a drink hehehehe 🙂 So I enjoyed myself. Later on I got a lift home with Annika’s ex so that was handy. And yeah… that was really it. Rage were absolutely amazing BTW. If you want check out a video from the night. Now you need to imagine that this was the LAST song of the night so the crowd was rather tired by then… try to imagine what it was like in the beginning when I was still in the middle of it 🙂
Edit… Ooops… forgot the video:

Never been a huge RATM fan. Obviously like every other person under the age of 35 who has been to any alterative music night, Ive jumped around like a tit to Killing in the Name Of though. haha
