winter rant
I am not a winter person. I do not like being cold or that the days are shorter than the nights. Scenic weather and winter sports to not make up for the other things I listed. Here in eastern Canada where I live I put on my long johns in october and take them off around may:( It is slighter warmer now but it has been so cold that we might as well be filling our oil tank with gold or platinum for what it is costing us or not filling it at all for the short amount of time the oil is lasting!!!
I knit wooly stuff in the summer too so that isn’t a consolation either. I like curling up next to the woodstove but that isn’t a major attraction either. I just plain don’t enjoy winter at all.
Knitting you ask, well yes I am knitting but not getting much time for that as usual. Today members of my knitting guild are going on a yarn crawl which is going to include a visit to an alpaca farm. I signed up to go, wanted to go but realized that I couldn’t afford to go for lunch in a restaurant never mind buy any yarn so I am not going. Did I mention that my beloved mac laptop seized up last weekend and has been in the shop all week waiting evaluation and that means I can’t access any e-mail sent to me before last sunday or my address book. I am sharing my husband’s computer with him. I can’t currently print any copies of my zine because of the formatting and font.
Well, the kids are well healthy and relatively civil but we would all appreciate if Torin’s writer does com up with a volume control for little people:)
We are also in negociations with our bank to refinance our house and we hope, hope, hope that goes through.
I do like paypal though, you don’t need to have a credit card to use paypal.
Blogs are fun too, and unbelievably there are absolutely dozens if not hundreds of knitting blogs out there too. Lots of fun and free reading.
And now for something completely different, sushi pillows (that is pillows that look like sushi). I love vegetarian sushi and I think these are really fun

No luck on the volume control thing. If I ever get it, I’ll be sure to send you one of the prototypes. With a grin…

RYN: And of course, I’ll keep you in mind when I finally type the damn thing in. With a grin…
