No More Business Attire
I’m sitting in my office, working on my at home business a bit, and just enjoying the breeze and the afternoon. Notice, I said home office. I am so happy that I am working at home, and not going in to work in a corporate office any more. When I got out of college, I worked a couple of insurance jobs – first health, and then financial planning with Mass Mutual. I didn’t like either. Having to dress up every day and go into work with all of the other suits was no fun. I had to shop for all the business attire, like Jack Georges briefcases and laptop cases. I used to think when I was younger that I wanted to work in an office. I was wrong. Working in a cubicle sucks. Freedom baby! It’s so much better. If I want to go get a cup of coffee, I go. If I want to work out, I work out. I don’t sit in a cube all day, waiting for 5pm. I’ve got a friend who works for the Hamilton County Board of MRDD, and she likes her work. They are doing a good thing in helping less fortunate people. But still, she’s subject to the Man. You have to do what the Man says. Not me. I’ve escaped!
Now, I have to break my wife free. So, it’s back to working at the onine biz so it will draw enough income for her to escape.
