Day at the Zoo

Last weekend, my wife and I took our niece and nephew to the zoo, and it was an absolute blast!  Since we are members, we got in for free, which was sweet, and the ticket girl didn’t charge us for the kids.  That was a good start.  When we walked in, a Curious George character was there in costume, and my nephew loved it. 

One of the first things we saw was a peacock with its feathers all out trying to attract a female.  Then, we saw bears, penguins, lions, tigers, rhinocerous, monkeys and elephants.  It was awesome.  The zoo is right next to the children’s hospital so we so all kinds of nurses there on their break wearing Cherokee workwear scrubs and others.  It was cool because they brought some kids from the hospital.

It was so much fun to see their little eyes light up as they saw all the animals they had only seen in books.  My wife bought them both gifts to remember the day.  So much fun!
