Stolen Credit Card

So, I was using Quicken on Sunday, reviewing my finances, when I see about 10 purchases that make entirely no sense at all.  I called the number on the back of my card, but since my card was not lost or stolen, they said I had to go into the branch.  So, I had to wait until Monday before going in, not knowing if there would be thousands of purchases on my card or not.

It seems that everything should be straightened out, but it’s a huge hassle for me.  I use that card for all of my purchases to gain points.  Apparently, it was internet fraud.  So, while I was buying things for Christmas from this Transformers store or for a pirate birthday party, my info was out there getting stolen.  I can’t even buy little things like this now without thinking that I may get identity theft.

So, I’m waiting for a new credit card, and I need it soon because I’m going to Europe on Friday with my wife.  What a horrible weekend.  At least my bank has been helpful so far.  It’s helpful to read up on stuff like this.
