Is this just a detour?

I write my best when listening to Hillary Duff and other pop sensations that I know on a fudamental level are really shit. Still, Getaway is breaking me free of my prison of writers block, and piece by piece I’m putting pen to paper and creating something that resembles progress. But the process is slow…I guess that’s what it means to write a novel….painstaking slowness. It would be years and some great success later that would allow me to produce every six months like some, and I’m not sure I’d want to be there anyhow….not really.

I’m going for an internship in January. I’d like to work for the Virginia film office, which is located in Richmond, so I could live at home-free, and even though I wouldn’t be makinng money for that whole month, may be I could live cheaply enough to keep saving up for Europe. No turning back now. Hostles are booked, flights are booked, and the decision has been made. I can’t help but feel elevated and terrified at the thought of truckin it through so many countries without the aid of family or school to help me out. This time it’s all me.

Ring night is coming up. Stoked! My ring sister is a trip, and I’m certain she will enjoy her experience because we have lots of good stuff planned for her. Don’t fret, juniors! The seniors will take WONDERFUL care of you! hehehe

Things aside from this are okay. A work in progress.
Also I’m sitting here in a dress, and not going anywhere. But hey…I feel pretty. 🙂

I need to find time to get back to writing again – I haven’t done it in so long. Just can’t seem to find the time. A Europe trip sounds wonderful. I’ve never been, but I intend to at some point in the future.
