First day at school

It was my niece’s first day at school yesterday. Until now, she had been going to daycare only that we call a playschool here lol.

I was really worried about her admission etc last year and posted an entry about that too, we wanted her to go to a good English school as even in India, one needs to have a good command over English language, what an irony, we try to teach her English all the time and forget our native language Hindi lol.

Yeah, back to topic, I was having little fever so I took a day off from the work and since it was her first day at school so I thought to drop her off there. She got ready happily as she was wearing a new skirt and shirt, typical female feature for a four-year-old lol. So, my sis-in-law packed her lunch, school bag and water bottle ready and it was time to leave and she started crying lol, as she wanted to go with her papa not with me haha, what a cutie. We told her that papa was gone to work and might come to pick her up L.

So, we reached at school, lots of parents were there, it was the first day of the summer session, I was lost amongst the kids J. So many and so cute, most of them were happy and smiling but few were crying and throwing tantrums too lol. Thank God, she was happy until then, I met her class teacher, kissed her (not the class teacher of course lol, I kissed my niece only haha) and left. I am sure she was about to cry but didn’t J.

After 3 hours, we (sis-in-law and I) went back to pick her up from there. Mostly mothers were there (fathers at work etc), I could see the expressions on their face and the happiness when their kid was coming out of the class and how they hugged them or kissed them etc, it was pleasure to be there and understand how important a mother is to a child.

Anyways, we picked her up and went to a photo studio as we needed a photo for her I-Card and for the memory too and the photographer kept asking her to smile but she didn’t lol, usually, she will smile immediately as soon as you ask her to but her mood was off I guess lol. Later, she told us she was mad on her classmate for not sharing the toys lol.

I am glad she had a nice day at school and really liked it. She liked her class teacher too, even I liked her too but she is married haha, just kidding lol.

Thanks for your entire lovely and caring notes you left me on my last entry, it shows I have few caring friends J.
