Good Friday, Holi, Milad Nabi and Easter :-)

Means an extended weekend and more time to spend with the family haha. Yes, I am leaving for my hometown tomorrow morning and will have full three days to enjoy with my parents, brother and his family, and sister and her family J. Looking forward to enjoy time with my nieces and nephew, especially Molly J.

Friday is Good Friday, another festival for Christians, in India, we have mostly Catholic Christians who fast on this day, don’t know if Protestants do it too so let me know if you fast on this day.

On Friday only, we Hindus are also going to celebrate Holi (the festival of colors) J. It’s a two days festival and on Friday, we will simply worship God etc and have bonfires at night lol.

The day that is famous around the world is on Saturday, it’s the day when we like to color each other’s faces and even bodies too haha. People even throw water & color to each other lol. It’s really good fun if you use nice and good colors and respect others feeling if they don’t want to be painted haha.

Since, I am too old for all this lol, I don’t celebrate it much, now I just like to see friends in the evening preferably as you can’t take the risk of seeing them in the daytime as they don’t listen to you at all and paint your faces no matter how good your excuse is haha, typical friends and you can’t get mad on them for this, it’s a festival so either enjoy it or sit at home lol.

For last few years, I prefer to sit at home and meet the visitors and neighbors, most of friends know I don’t celebrate it so they just come, meet me and my family, eat some sweets etc and leave, I visit them back in the evening J.

Sunday is Easter, another big day for all the Christians around the globe, wishing all of them a very Happy Easter, May God’s blessing be upon you on Easter and always. Also, I got to know this week is Milad Nabi as well so wishing my Muslim friends a very happy Milad Nabi J.

This Sunday happens to my papa’s birthday too so it would be great fun to celebrate it with the whole family, I am sure he will cherish this one for a long time <sp
