New home

So we have been in our new house for a few weeks now.  We are still getting everything unpacked and trying to find a renter for one of the bedrooms since we can’t really afford to not have one right now.

The house is 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.  Large yard that the dog and cat LOVE.  The old owners had a thing for stamping the wall so we have gold sponge marks all over a few of the walls, green leave on a couple more and red leaves on a few others.  The also made a fake border in the kitchen, I can’t want to paint over that.

We are still figuring out the layout of how we want everything.  Alaric and I think of doing things in different orders.  I think that we should paint before being completely unpacked and situated, he wants to get everything unpacked and then figure things out.  I think it would be easier to paint before things get put on and against the walls but that is just me 😛

Today we FINALLY mailed out our wedding invitations.  Now I have moved on to making sure we update the wedding webpage and buy the few items that I have to get online so that my mom has them to figure out what she wants to do with everything.  Kinda scary, letting my mom and sisters plan some of the wedding.

We went to Home Depot.  We got some herbs and catnip (cats AND dogs like the stuff).  Planting tools, hose holder, all that stuff.  We really want to do a lot of work with the back yard.  We want to make a small garden pool that we can stick our feet in that has a waterfall and enough room for the dog to take a dip in on a hot day.  We have a lot going on with the yard and we still haven’t figured out all of the house but the yard is easier 😛

I gave my dog a bath today.  It was his first one.  He didn’t like it 😛  Poor thing, he went into the laundry sink just fine, and then I turned the water on……… I figure that he will get use to it after a few more washes but he did get cooled off and he got to be wrapped in a towel and held in my arms for a few minutes 🙂

Well just wanted to do a quick update.  I am home alone right now and I keep hearing different noises so me and my over-active imagination are now going to go into the master bedroom and watch tv/movie until LATE tonight when Alaric comes home from hanging out with his bofriends (car buddies).
