i don’t wanna be a soldier, mama

so, i’m quitting smoking.
i’ve gone for 18 hours without a cigarette so far.
i’ve had 5 periods of intense craving, and answered each one with a piece of gum.
my whole body is kind of permanently tingling.

a pack of peter jackson king sized cigarettes cost me around seven dollars (round up because it differs from shop to shop).
the gum only cost me one dollar and thirty-six cents!
that, i like.

keep your fingers crossed for me – i don’t want to die.
