Back from Biloxi
I had what I will now refer to as a “near death experience” on Thursday night -> Food Poisoning. Yes, prior to this evening I had no clue whatsoever what the severity of this evil “thing” was…and then I found out first hand. Came home from tennis and ate a lean cuisine for dinner (shrimp and pasta if you are curious), 1 hour later I thought I was dying. After puking up EVERYTHING in my stomach every 20 minutes, once I was “dry” it moved on to “other areas” if you catch my drift. I.was.MISERABLE. After every bodily fluid was out of my body, I continued to dry-heave until about 5 in the morning.I was laying on the bathroom floor, crying hysterically, and praying for it all to stop. Eventually it did and I was able to drink a half a cup of water without puking it back up.
Needless to say, the next day’s drive to Biloxi was anything but pleasant. Casi wound up driving my car while I “napped” in the passenger seat and prayed to feel better. We finally got there and after I napped (while Casi was at the pool) and tried to rehydrate we somehow went to dinner. I was trying my best to be a trooper, but my body was sooo jacked and all I could fathom eating was soup and bland mashed potatoes. So we went back to our room, rented “The lovely bones” (good movie!), and passed out early.
Luckily Sat I woke up feeling MUCH better. Almost like a new person. We spent the day at the pool, then went to dinner, then went to the Pat Benetar concert. So good! She played most of the good songs- which was great. My only complaint was that her audio wasn’t THAT great and she chose a horrible outfit to wear! Not really a “performer” like you’d expect- but was still good times! Then we gambled a little more (I have a newfound love for 3 card poker!), met a lady who claims that she’s gonna be on a show called “Redneck Divas” that is to aire this November on TLC, then we headed to “Da Club”. Proceeded to drink and dance our asses off, and met a bunch of cool peeps. Fun times for sure!
Then Sunday We woke up, drank mimosas, got massages, then headed to the outlet malls for the day. I wish that I could have found a bunch of cute stuff cause I was ready! But unfortunately it was that “in-between” seasons time so there wasn’t much I was interested in. I just can’t see shopping for late fall/winter when it’s still summer! Oh well! I did score one good purchase- a black coach purse that I’ve been wanting. It’s just a small one- but it’s super cute.
Today I’m in the office..blah! but the rest of this week I’m off for my “staycation” to organize my house, lounge at the pool, get errands done, relax, etc. Can’t wait!
oooh, I didn’t know you had food poisoning…that is NO fun! Glad you made it out alive and were still able to have fun on your girl’s weekend!
