hoping I don’t turn into a popsicle

The first week in the new position has been great. Been a lot of “transitioning” and getting organized with my my “team”. This is how it works- it’s me as the Senior Sales Executive, Kevin underneath me as the Sales Associate, and then Dave is a consultant that “floats” between our Central Team and the West Team. I think it’s a great setup because we all bring different strengths to the table. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around how we’re going to organize ourselves, but it’s a great work in progress right now.

The weather here in Atlanta has reached REDICULOUS lows. I really can’t take it. Maybe it’s not drastic to other people who are used to the frigid winters, but this is miserable to me! All I want to do is lay in my bed cuddled underneath 12 blankets and wrapped in my snuggie! Seriously- praying for a warm front! Remind me in the summer to appreciate the heat!

Met this guy online a long time ago and it was went I had met Joe, so I stopped talking to the other guy. His name is James and I guess we must have had some good communication via email before I quit eharmony. Fast forward to 3 weeks ago when he saw me on my friend’s facebook page. Small freakin world! Apparently he used to date my friend’s old roommate and my friend and him have stayed friendly. He asked her about me and then messaged me to say hi, etc. Long story short, he and I finally talked on the phone last night. It was okay. He is VERY southern- which I am not used to. Seems to have his stuff together though and seems really nice. I just don’t know if we have enough in common- and it was hard to tell because most of the conversation was him talking about himself. He barely asked me anything about myself- and that bothered me. Maybe he was just nervous though. we’re supposed to get a drink sometime next week (both of our weeks and weekends are busy). We’ll see…

Oh- can anyone recommend any faves to me? I’m going through my list and there are only about 4 of you that I still keep up with! Thanks gals:)

I’ve been MIA for a while but hoping to get my brain in gear and start noting and following properly again! Congrats on your new position in work… go you!!! 🙂

uh… idk. what kinda faves you want? i don’t have many, and if i didn’t have an officey type of job, i’d probably never be here. you Atlanters… you need to toughen up. It’s been in the 20’s here for a couple weeks. If he’s very Southern, at least the doors and such will be held for you 🙂 Ha, Southerners crack my azz up, man.

Not that men don’t hold doors here or offer up subway seats. They do. It’s just that this Southern dude was on Leno or some ****e and Leno was busting on the Southern thing and said, “You don’t have to call me ‘sir'” and Southern-dude was like, “Well, my parents would disagree.” LOL. A Northeaster would be like, “**** my parents, yo.”

Small world about James! GIve him a show–who knows, maybe he’ll turn you into a Southern Belle. 😉 And I know, this weather has been RIDICULOUS! It’s killing me! Glad to hear the new position is going well so far!

And I meant “shot”, not “show”…though you could do that, too, ha ha.
