being pro-active:

So given my current situation (i.e no cardio), I have been VERY concerned about managing my weight without being able to burn calories. Some of you may be blessed with great metabolisms and not a slave to cardio- but I, on the other hand, was convinced at one point that I didn’t even HAVE a metabolism..lol…

With that said- I have been eating so healthy since I got this stupid boot on. Last night I went to the grocery store and bought a lot of great, healthy stuff. Cooked some fish and asparagus for dinner, and made my lunch for today. Found a good recipe for a filling (and tasty) bean salad…

All it is is black beans, corn, diced tomatoes and fat free Italian dressing mixed together. Very yummy and very filling. (not so pretty, but whatev)

Any other ideas on healthy, EASY recipes for snacks would be much appreciatedJ I do well on the “meal” parts- but snacks aren’t as easyJ

Snacks are hard. When I’m being good, I do yogurt, sunflower seeds, celery w/peanut butter (those i can make a day before and bag up for taking into work), fruit salad, ooooh, and chips and salsa!!! Tortilla chips (baked, and low in salt) with salsa are “model food.” So they say. Low in calorie and stuff, and spicy salsa makes you want more water, which fills you up.

oh ive made that black bean salad…it IS yummy!! 🙂

I know Weight Watchers has a bunch of 1 and 2 point stuff out now. And I know you already know about their 4four 0 point soups. You can keep it pretty close to 0 with veggies and fat free dressing. I am glad you’re motivated–I swear, life hands your lemons, and you make lemonade, then make a lemonade stand, and make $500 in sales. You’re truly my hero!
