starring….

Meh. I need to start writing again. I was doing good for a couple of weeks but then fell off. So to jump start myself, I figured I’d do one of those “cast of character” entries. Since I don’t write a lot, I’m sure it could be easy to get confused as to who I’m talking about sometimes. Plus I’ve taken to using codenames for my bosses and place of work since I talk about them in not-quite-the-nicest terms.

Randy: the boyfriend. I live with him and his mom in an eeensy widdle apartment on the upper west side.

Edio: Randy’s mom. More often than not, simply referred to as “Randy’s mom.”

Jimmy: Randy’s mom’s boyfriend of something like 17 years. There is still great debate and speculation as to why he and Randy’s mom never married. He used to live with us, but she recently kicked him out even though they’re still together because (and i quote), “A woman’s got urges.”

Amanda: My middle sister. She lives with her boyfriend and they have a baby together.

Nevea: Amanda’s daughter, my niece. The most adorable precious little girl in the whole world đŸ˜€

Gerrit: My sister’s boyfriend. I sometimes refer to him as my brother-in-law, because let’s face it, they’re practically married.

Corryn: my youngest sister. A senior in high school, she still lives with our parents.

Mom & Dad: Self-explanatory.

Italian: The restaurant where I work. Not the real name, but this is what I’ve decided to call it. It’s a restaurant in Little Italy, but that’s as much info as I’m gonna give.

B: my female boss/the owner of Italian. completely paranoid control freak.

G: my male boss/ the general manager. just plain odd. He’s a lot more like B than he’ll ever admit.

Fabulous: the location where I’m doing my externship. Not the real name, but I’m calling it this because it’s in Chelsea and 75% of the staff are gay (actually probably more…) hence it is fabulous if you catch my drift.

Ai: The Art Institute. The school that I am currently attending.

Willy: Randy’s best friend, who we frequently hang out with.

Maygan: My best friend from my time in Baltimore. I’m going to be a bridesmaid in her wedding coming up next month.

This entry will be updated as necessary.

You should give everyone a complex abbreviation like I do and expect people to remember it.

This was a good idea to do đŸ™‚

What the hell. Do you also spell color with a “u”? The grocery store near me has a separate section for gay food because we’re not very progressive in the South and still segregate things, so the Greek yogurt is lumped in with the soy milk and other rogue dairy products.
