never underestimate the power of a pencil

Last week I had gone to Michael’s (you know–the craft store?) with Laurren on a wild goose hunt for iron-in clothing labels. While we were there we passed by the yarn craft area, and I remembered that I’d purchased an entire skein of yarn for a game for my sister’s baby shower back in February that was, as yet, completely unused. I glanced at the “I Taught Myself Knitting” kit and decided to pick it up.

I got up to the register, and that’s where my card was rejected. (Remember from my other entry?) So I couldn’t get it.

I let it go for a couple of days, but by then I had a bee in my bonnet. I was just gonna crochet instead, but then I couldn’t find my crochet hook. While I was looking for it, I found two perfect pencils. By that I mean, they were still the length of brand-new pencils. They’d only been sharpened once apparently, and both were still sharp. So I thought, “hey… what the heck.” I googled how to knit and in short fashion came up with a set of instructions.

And thus I taught myself to knit with a pair of pencils.

That is good you can tell the bulbs in the 2nd pic are bigger. How did you get the box in this entry to let you write in it?

it is to pop! me and my fiance fight bout this a lot he’s from virgina and i’m from pa, near pittsburgh, and well we both live here now so it’s pop! lol but yeah i’m from pittsburgh and we have our own lil way of saying things but it works lol

How did you find out about a div box and what is a style sheet? That is cool you have had the div box for a long time on your diary. Now I see why I must have not seen the box before. I am glad you don’t think I am a bad person. I thought ppl might think I am a bad person for staying with my bf after how he treats me at times. Thanks for your thoughts on the sandwich thing I wrote about. It’s ok you agree with what my mom said about the sandwich thing. Yes, I do know what my bf did this weekend wasn’t very nice. I don’t know why I want to stay with my bf when I know most ppl will tell me to leave him. I guess the way I get to live with my bf is partly why I am staying. I mean the part about living in a house and not an apartment. Getting out places once in a while when ppl visit him, having someone to talk to where in a apartment I would not have anyone to talk to, etc.
