sometimes…
…my least favorite part of the entry is the title…
So. What is there to say? A boy, a boy, I met a boy. *smiles* I met him online… and don’t give me that look–despite a few bad experiences, I still generally like the idea of online dating. After all, I met Jim online, and he didn’t turn out to be so bad, did he? 😛 (you know, except for the whole breaking my heart thing… have I mentioned i’m still dwelling on that?… still crying over that? actually i had a breakdown a couple of days ago. bad me.) But, I digress.
I happened to know he just bought a new car. (a porsche, but that’s besides the point). So Friday night, I was sitting alone in my room, because some of my friends are losers and didn’t want to go out. *coughsethcough* (Have I mentioned that the last time I went partying was the first week of classes? Yea… I’m going nuts here). So it was about… 11 or so, and I messaged this boy. “Don’t you owe me a ride in a fancy car?” I said. He smiled, “Maybe.” Through the next line of conversation, I found out that he was leaving town on Monday for a couple of weeks for business. “Oh,” I said, “well I’m kind of busy this weekend…”
“Unless,” he said, “you’re crazy and you want to do it now.”
I barely thought before responding, “Yes. Yes I’m crazy. Let’s do it now.”
And that was how it came to be, that at 11:45pm on a Friday night, a boy drove over an hour to come see me. We drove around Baltimore, from the Inner Harbor, up to Towson, and everywhere in between, until about 3 o’clock in the morning… just talking… not caring where we were going, or when we got back. (well, excepting the minor detail that he’d still have to drive an hour back home after dropping me off.)
Last night, I decided that I wanted to see him again before he left for three weeks, so I sent him an email suggesting that we meet again today. He got here about early afternoon, so we had lunch, and then spent the rest of the afternoon at the art museum, then hung out here at my place for just a little while before he had to go back home 🙁
Later found out that his plans that he’d had for the evening fell through, and so he could have stayed longer, a fact over which we both lamented. But in a way I’m kind of glad he didn’t. I really like him… and I kinda wanna take this slow. I don’t think I’ve been this frustrated since high school, lol, and now I have another three weeks to be frustrated 😛 Can’t wait to see where this goes…
(P.S… his name is Justin)
