I was trying to download a program and install it on my computer today. Every time I try to install something, it asks me for my password–understandable. But right after I put in my password, it popped up with a little window that said “you must have administrator privelages in order to perform this action” erm…. last time i checked, I *was* an administrator… so i checked again. And sure enough, it still says I’m an administrator. And yet, I can’t install that program. I did a check by trying to install something else, and the other thing wouldn’t install either, so it’s not like it was just the one program.
Yea, that could be a problem.

I’ve got another problem… the power cord for my laptop has been fraying for the last couple of months. Of course, I covered it with some electrical tape, and it’s been OK. Unless it gets in a certain postion, then it stops powering the laptop, but if I wiggle it a little, it’s okay again. Until today. No matter how much I wiggle it, it just won’t power the laptop. And it costs about $80 to get a new one. And to top it all off, I was reading the ‘consumer comments’ on apple’s website, on the page for this cord, and I’m not the only person who’s noticed the weakness of this cord. *sigh* anyway, I best get off the computer before my battery dies… gotta save a little power for tomorrow, until I can get a new cord… guess I’m getting up early to drive to KOP before I have to go to work*grumblegrowl* although at least I can be thankful that I don’t live like in the middle of PA where the closest Apple store is like four hours away (there are only three stores in PA–two in Pittsburgh, and one in King of Prussia) but I digress. Anywho… *sigh*
