and yet another new year *edit*
This is the third new year since I began this diary back in 2003 (wow that sounds so long ago) So once again, almost a tradition now, New Year’s resolutions from last year and respective results:
I resolved:
- to stop biting my fingernails that lasted until about April
- to be more considerate of other people’s feelings actually i was, even though I forgot I even made this resolution
- to quit whining about my lack of a love life, and just be happy with me the way i am another one that lasted until about April–when I actually got a boyfriend–but everytime that I was without a boy, I was pretty happy… it was when I got with the boys that the problems started happening 😛 (j/k… sort of)
- to study daily in addition to doing assigned work no comment
- to make sure that i know the person’s name *before* i hook up with them yes! i did! of course, that doesn’t guarantee that I remembered the person’s name afterward
- to never drink on tuesdays this one was okay, until I got sick a month or two ago and made myself a couple of hot toddies
- to run or exercise at least every other day again, no comment
And new resolutions for this year:
I resolve:
- to not bite my nails again, since I really do need to stop that, and I did get pretty far last year! (four months has to be like a record for me)
- to not flunk out of school
- to (after January 17th) never work at Redner’s Warehouse Markets or any affiliate thereof (this may not sound like a biggie, but for me it will mean actually looking for a job for the first time since I was 15)
Okay, that’s all I can think of for now. I’ll edit if/when I think of another. I was going to make “lose weight” and/or “excercise” a resolution again, but I heard on the news that by making that your resolution (and/or starting a diet on a monday) actually sets you up for failure. I forget how. But you should never make weight loss a new year’s resolution for that very reason.
*edit*
I forgot to mention… I just noticed that exactly one year ago, when I made my new year’s resolutions, I said “I don’t like odd-numbered years, they have bad energy” And just the other day I commented that 2005 has been the most difficult year of my life so far. Coincidence? Considering I actually forgot that I had said that until a half hour ago, I think not.
Happy New Year! What, exactly, is IN a hot toddy?

Now that you mention it 2005 wasn’t the greatest year for me either… but then again neither was 2004 or 2003… 2004 probably being my worst year ever… so maybe even number years are bad for me?
